Los cuentos del rio na bombuj. Un cuento chino – A Chinese tale is a documentary project portraying Nicaraguans waiting for an old dream to come true: the construction of an interoceanic canal. While following the protagonists in their every day life and focusing on their hopes and fears related to the project, the film explores how the 500 year old canal fantasy has become part of the national imaginary and collective consciousness.
